How it works We insist that you produce the melodies and do the sound design of all the main instruments in the track (leads, bass, chords, pads, guitars, vocal chops) yourself, on synthesizers or romplers.

We prohibit the use of readymade melodic loops, melodic samples, melodic presets (sequences, arps), and MIDI files
Everything that's mentioned above, including vocal chops and guitar melodies is prohibited. There is only one reason for that: The melody was created by someone else, and it can be used in a huge number of other released tracks.
Vocal royalty-free samples and acapellas may be used
We position ourselves as a platform where buyers can acquire unique, exclusive, and original tracks. Since obtaining exclusive vocals can be challenging and expensive, we allow producers to use royalty-free vocals. This ensures buyers still receive an exclusive instrumental track, which constitutes the majority of the track's value.
When uploading a track to our platform, provide a link to the source of the sample to confirm that it is royalty-free and licensed without any obligations. You must also specify the name of the sample file.
We prohibit the use of vocal samples uploaded to community-based platforms, such as Looperman, YouTube, Samplefocus, and others, where uploaded samples are not moderated and content creators are not verified. Even if samples are labeled as “royalty-free,” their originality or uniqueness cannot be guaranteed. Such samples may infringe on copyrights, leading to potential legal disputes.
Vocals must have a royalty-free license without any obligations. Some sample creators require vocalists to be credited or demand royalty payments. Limited editions of sample packs are also prohibited, as clients wouldn’t be able to buy them over time. Carefully select your samples and avoid risks if you’re unsure about their suitability for sale on our platform. We recommend using samples from trusted sources like Splice or Loopcloud.
Exclusive vocals
If you created the lyrics and performed the vocal yourself, select the “Exclusive vocal” option during upload and confirm “I'm the vocalist.”
This includes cases where you’ve used AI to change your voice — for example, from male to female or vice versa. Since it’s your lyrics and your performance, it still qualifies as an exclusive vocal.
If someone else recorded the vocal — whether you hired them or collaborated — select “Someone else is the vocalist” and upload a signed agreement.
The document must confirm that you fully own the vocal and have the right to sell it.
It should also state that the singer gives up all rights to the recording and won’t request credit, royalties, or future payments. A basic “work-for-hire” agreement is enough, as long as it clearly includes these terms.

Using AI for vocal creation
Make sure the AI tool offers a royalty-free license that allows you to use the generated vocals in tracks you intend to sell. Look for clear terms of use and a legitimate company behind the tool. Free or trial versions usually don’t include commercial rights.
For best results, write original lyrics (on your own or with AI), record your voice, and process it using a licensed AI voice model.
All AI-generated vocals must be royalty-free, not require crediting the tool, and be created using a license that covers commercial distribution and resale.
When uploading a track, include a link to the AI tool’s license or terms confirming your right to use the vocal commercially. If you're not sure — it's better to skip that tool.
Important: All AI vocals sold on EDM Ghost Production must be exclusive to the buyer. They cannot be reused, resold, or published elsewhere. By uploading your track, you confirm full authorship and ownership is transferred to the buyer — just like with any exclusive vocal.
Copyright violations are not allowed.
Don’t use AI to imitate real artists (e.g., Rihanna) or sing lyrics you don’t have permission to use.
Only use AI voice models that are licensed for commercial use and don’t violate any copyrights or voice likeness rights.

What about melodic loops, samples, and presets?
If a buyer has purchased and released a track, only to find numerous other tracks with the same melody already released, they will very likely not buy from us again. We can't let this happen.
We do not prohibit the use of loops, one-shot samples, romplers (Arcade, Avenger, Nexus, Omnisphere), or Kontakt libraries, if you create your own melody utilizing them
If you cut a melodic loop, change the rhythm and tonality, and compose your own melody using various manipulations, then there will be no violation of the rules. In no circumstances may you use the melodic loop in its unaltered form, even with minor processing, for example to speed up the tempo or lower the tonality.
If you use loops and samples, you must make them unrecognizable and therefore unique. Provided that you follow these guidelines, your track can conceivably consist entirely of samples.

Let’s look at some good examples of how you may and may not use loops

The melodic loop is used in an unaltered/original form. It is forbidden.

One-shot samples of guitar chords are used to build the melody. This is allowed, as the result is an original melody.

A melodic loop is taken to create an original melody. It is transposed two semitones up, the rhythm is completely redone, and some notes are reversed. Therefore it's a completely original melody and is allowed.

From the original musical loop, the producer only changed the order of the chords. This is minor processing and is prohibited.
If you’re not sure if you’re allowed to use a melodic loop or a preset from the rompler:
Ask yourself: "Is there a melody in this sample/preset?"
Make your own decision that does not violate the conditions described above.

Frequently asked questions
- Am I allowed to use clippings, one-shots, or melodies, either from films, songs, YouTube videos, or similar sources? No, because the rights to such materials belong to other authors.
It is wrong to think that it will suddenly “work out.” It is illegal.
Such actions will lead you to being banned from EDM Ghost Production. - What happens if I use a pre-made melody in unaltered form, or with minor processing? Is everything really that strict?Yes. The reputation of the EDM Ghost Production platform is more important than profit lost from one producer.
Don't risk it!
